One of the addons I use the most with Blender are Machin3 addons, and this was made using HyperCursor, a preliminary blocking addon that helps creates first shapes without committing to too much details.
The Keycap is a good practice run for the addon, you can learn all the shortuts and the capabilities of this addon.
