Sharp edges are not real.
In this practice run, I wanted to highlight how chamfer, fillet and bavel can make a part pop! the details and light reflection will make a big difference.
So what is the difference between all three?
Chamfers (flat, angled cuts) and bevels (smooth, rounded transitions) are essential in 3D rendering because they break unnatural "infinite" edges. They capture specular highlights, giving objects a sense of weight, realism, and material authenticity. Without them, computer-generated models look sterile, low-quality, and fake.
